Do you need a quick quote for powder coat services?
If you don’t provide enough details when you submit a quote request, you could go back and forth with a shop's sales team for days before receiving an estimate. That’s certainly not a good use of your time!
The good news is that this outcome is easily avoidable. To get your powder coating service quote ASAP, simply include all the necessary information up front.
The more details you provide in your request for quote (RFQ), the faster All Powder Coat & Screen can provide a quick and accurate estimate. Here’s what to include:
How many parts will be powder coated? What are the sizes of those parts? If you have pictures of the parts and/or drawings with dimensions, upload those files with your RFQ.
Do we need to mask your parts before powder coating? What are the details of those requirements? Because masking is a manual and time-consuming process, we must know these specifications to determine the complexity of this step. Providing a drawing with precise dimensions and instructions helps us understand what we need to do and how long it will take.
What color and texture do you want for your powder coated parts? For example, let’s say you want your parts to be red, but you’re unsure of the shade. You have a couple of options. You could send us a picture of the color you have in mind. Or—better yet—you could find a color online and provide the manufacturer's name and product number.
Here are a few of our preferred powder manufacturers:
These websites have color charts and cards you can browse to find the right color for your part.
What will your powder coated parts be used for? Will the parts be inside or outside? These details will influence which type of powder coat we use to ensure the longevity of your parts.
Our shop offers a wide range of epoxy, polyester, hybrid, and urethane powder coatings. Each type has advantages and limitations.
For example, epoxy offers excellent corrosion resistance in low-light environments and is great for coating flexible parts. But it can’t be exposed to sunlight. Polyester is the most versatile powder type and the most durable for interior and exterior parts. But it’s less effective for steel parts in outdoor applications.
When we know your parts’ end-use application and the environment they will be in, we can help guide you toward the optimal powder coat.
Remember to maintain consistency and clarity as you gather details and create drawings for your powder coat service RFQ. Sometimes, we find discrepancies among documents for the same project, which can lead to confusion and delay your estimate.
