At All Powder Coat & Screen, powder coating is our most popular service, but it’s only one of our range of custom metal finishing capabilities. Alongside our pad printing and silk screening, as well as fabrication by our sibling company All Metals Fabricating, these complementary processes create an end-to-end manufacturing solution for our customers.
Pad printing and silk screening can be standalone services or used to add finishing touches to powder coated parts with markings, logos, or decorative designs. Because these capabilities are all located under the same roof, our customers have a true one-stop shop for their project, ensuring the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
Pad printing transfers images onto parts using a soft silicone pad. The process begins when an image is etched into a plate, filled with ink, and then picked up by the silicone pad. The pad then presses against the surface of your part, cleanly transferring the image.
Because the pad can conform to irregular shapes, pad printing may work well for some parts that have an intricate fabrication design or do not lie flat. It’s also fast and repeatable, making it well-suited to high-volume production runs with markings like logos, serial numbers, or IDs. Our pad printing services allow for virtually any ink color, and multi-color designs can lead to sharp, detailed results.
Silk screening is another method for applying designs, text, or markings to your part. In this process, ink is pushed through a fine mesh screen onto the part below. A stencil or template blocks out certain areas of the screen, allowing the ink to pass through only where the design is intended.
At All Powder Coat & Screen, our silk screening services are performed manually to ensure precise control. While this approach does take more time than automated methods, it delivers exceptional accuracy. Ideal for low- to medium-volume projects, it can also be adapted to certain non-flat geometries with custom jigs.
At All Powder Coat & Screen, we stand out in our ability to manage each of these aspects of your project in the same facility. In fact, most of the parts that we silk screen or pad print are first powder coated. Our powder coating services provide a quality base that improves the adhesion and durability of the silk screening or pad printing design.
We handle every stage of the process, from image preparation to final inspection. In most projects, customers send us vector or drawing files of their design, which we use to create the necessary templates or plates. When you choose All Metals Fabricating for fabrication and All Powder Coat for custom metal finishing, our teams coordinate directly for seamless production. That eliminates back-and-forth between disjointed vendors, reducing lead times and minimizing the risk of errors.
Some parts even combine all four of these capabilities: fabrication, powder coating, pad printing, and silk screening. Few facilities offer more than one of these capabilities under one roof, let alone all four. For our customers, that means less vendor coordination and faster turnaround from concept to finished product.
Whether you need bold graphics, detailed part marking, or other designs, our shop delivers with our pad printing and silk screening. Our team’s expertise in custom metal finishing means we understand how each process interacts, so your finished product looks exceptional.
